How to Use prpal

A simple guide to get you started with AI-powered code reviews.

1 Login with GitHub

Click the "Login with GitHub" button on our homepage. This securely authenticates you via your GitHub account. We only request permission to read your public profile, email, and organization memberships.

2 Select an Organization

Once logged in, you'll land on your dashboard. If you're a member of multiple GitHub organizations, use the switcher in the top-left corner of the sidebar to select the one you want to work with.

3 Install the GitHub App

Go to the "Repositories" page from the sidebar. If the prpal GitHub App isn't installed for your selected organization, you'll see an "Add Repositories" button. Clicking it will redirect you to GitHub to install the app and grant it access to specific repositories.

4 Activate Repositories

After installation, your chosen repositories will appear in a list on the "Repositories" page. Simply use the toggle switch next to each repository to activate or deactivate AI reviews.

5 Enjoy Automated Reviews

That's it! For any repository that is "Active", prpal will automatically review new pull requests and post its findings as a comment. You'll see the review activity in your dashboard's feed.

6 Customize (Optional)

Visit the "Settings" page to fine-tune prpal's behavior. You can set a default review type (e.g., focus on security, performance) and provide global custom instructions for the AI to follow across all reviews for your organization.
